‘Rajasthan Tiger Challenge’ charity bike ride

Aug. 24, 2007 - PRLog -- Sales Director Andrew Bullard, of State Securities, one of the UK’s leading asset finance companies, has embarked on a fundraising drive for his third major charity event.

In February 2008, Andrew will be undertaking the ‘Rajasthan Tiger Challenge’, a nine day 480km cycle ride through Rajasthan, Land of the Kings in India, organised by ‘Charity Challenge’. The ride will start in bustling Delhi and will pass through desert land, a national park, remote villages, as well as past tigers living in their natural habitat, before finishing in the colourful and vibrant city of Jaipur.

Andrew is hoping to raise around £5,000 for Diabetes UK (registered charity no. 215199). He chose this particular charity because family members and State Securities staff have been affected by the illness. Diabetes UK is the largest charitable organisation in the UK working for people with diabetes, funding research, campaigning and helping people live with the condition.

Andrew said, “I’m really looking forward to the challenge of cycling such a distance across varied terrain. My training is well under way - I’m cycling 30 to 40 miles and doing two gym sessions a week. Knowing such a worthwhile charity is going to benefit from my sponsorship money when I complete the challenge is a great motivator to keep my training sessions going”.

In the past, Andrew has raised money for Leukaemia Busters (registered charity no. 1010957) when he trekked the ‘Inca Trail’ in Peru and for the MND Association (registered charity no. 294354) when he walked across the Great African Rift Valley in Tanzania.
