Polyglots’ Guide takes a humorous approach to providing the reader with memorable aspects of the Greek, Hindustani, Russian, Arabic, French, German, Spanish and Danish languages. An increasing international interest in languages and distant places was part of the reason why the author, who has had a lifelong interest in languages, decided on a less than serious approach that nevertheless does actually provide real information on some grammatical aspects and vocabulary of the languages.
“Scroll”, founded by the author in Canada eighteen years ago, reported on oil and gas exploration activities around the world to the major oil companies. The editor, Richard Moir, also wrote a series of energy software articles which were published in Oilweek magazine.
