New York, 20 Aug 2007 – Mike Timmons launched a new blog dealing with the topic of self-hypnosis. Although, self-hypnosis and hypnosis in general has been the subject of much criticism throughout the years, it is now becoming more socially acceptable as more and more people report dramatic positive changes in different areas of their lives. This has even prompted an increase in interest in the fields of science and medicine.
Today, many people suffer from anxiety, depression, fears and phobias. And are in the grips of addictions, habits, and vices ranging from the annoying to the life threatening. Modern day science has provided different ways of treating these ailments in the form of medications, that may carry their own harmful side effects that may even disagree with a patient’s body chemistry all together. But does a safer alternative exist? The answer is yes, and self-hypnosis can be that alternative.
Understand that I am not advising to ignore medicine. Of course it is needed. But after taking a look at the positive results of self-hypnosis when dealing with various problems, one should at least have an open mind to try it for themselves. Self-hypnosis, however, does take a certain level of discipline to be successful. But this discipline comes easy with practice. "I've used hypnosis. I've had surgery, I've had operations, dentistry -- no anesthetics whatsoever”, said Jim Zinger to ABC 7 news just before swimming the “Alcatraz Challenge”. Zinger is a 65-year-old professional hypnotherapist who started a hypnotic treatment and self-hypnosis training center in Burbank called Hypmovation Inc. back in 1978. At the time of the challenge, he wore nothing more than a pair of trunks and used self-hypnosis as a means of blocking the cold and keeping his core temperature hot.
“The Self-Hypnosis Guide” blog contains a wealth of information and resources for anyone looking to further their knowledge and gain more of an understanding of self-hypnosis and it’s benefits. The site also gives step-by-step in instructions to self-hypnotize. And for someone who is ready to try, but may find it hard to do so, there is a wide variety of aids available through the site to help them get started.
