FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) – According to research by specialist light bulb suppliers, BLT Direct, there are currently less than six landfill sites in Britain able to accept this type of waste product. Waste producers such as commercial sites, offices and factories have a duty of care to ensure that lamp residues are only disposed of with all mercury contaminants removed.

As part of its extensive online store of light bulbs, lamps and tubes, BLT Direct offers a comprehensive lamp disposal and recycling service tailored to individual requirements. Replacing previous disposal options, waste disposal for this type of waste now involves recycling of all components and the removal of phosphor powder followed by a 16-hour in house distill process.

BLT Direct is able to manage the whole disposal process and offers a tailored bulk lamp collection service, available where storage containers are not required and a specific amount of lamps in excess of 1000 in quantity need removing.

Lamp disposal solutions available to purchase online through BLTDirect.com include black plastic pipes suitable for storage of up to 400 lamps, metal containers with a capacity of 3000, plastic containers and collapsible pallets.

Services on each of these disposal options include outward delivery, waste transfer notes, duty of care tracking, haulage, lamp sorting, recycling processing, distillation of phosphor and recycling certificates.
