Matthew Mahler has donated eighteen original oil paintings to the American Red Cross, which will be sold at auction during an “Evening of Art and Fine Wines”. Matthew Mahler, a plein-aire painter who is a native of Houma, Louisiana, has donated numerous paintings to charitable art auctions, including the Triangle AIDS Alliance’s annual Works of Heart auction, the Ronald McDonald House annual fundraiser, and the Boys and Girls Club of America annual fundraiser.
The “Evening of Art and Fine Wines,” will include a silent auction of work by several North Carolina artists, a wine tasting, and live jazz by the Carolyn Mitchell Jazz Trio. Among the other artists who have donated work so far are Bob Rankin, Jason Craighead, Stephen White, Cathy Martin, DeShelia A. Spann, Susan Farrar Parrish, Nancy Meadows Taylor, Linda Ruth Dickinson, Don Mertz, and Constance Pappalardo.
