Collagen + Algae + Vitamin E = “colvita” Written By Collagenelife

Imagine that a tiny portion of lyophilizate collagen, weighing very little, can provide a soldier, Himalayan climber or even an astronaut, sportspeople, convalescents, people allergic to animal protein with a protein full value for many days.

Aug. 19, 2007 - PRLog -- I know that you have heard this word “Collagen” many times. It’s been overused and abused for different reason. But can we be silent and not to talk about something that has such a tremendous impact on everybody wellbeing?

Many people knows about importance of blood in human’s body but only a few knows that collagen is the main and building protein of bones, joints, skin, hair, nails, skeletal system, organ of sight, kidneys, liver and alimentary tract, having influence on healthy support and maintenance of the entire structure.

For years scientists have searched for a miracle panacea to increase production of collagen in human’s body. In the early 90’s researchers discovered the specific value of collagen obtained from certain Fish by-products. They examined two methods of obtaining collagen.
First, from all of the fish by-products.
Second, extraction of collagen from the fish skin only by using an acidic polysaccharide derived from plant tissue.

This method was further improved. A substantial research effort indicated that a special filtering was the most advantageous way for improving the results. It was found that by using a unique fibrous silk filtration method, a collagen of Triple Helix structure could be obtained in substantial quantities.

This type of collagen gel which is pure and biologically active penetrates the skin and enters the extracellular space, supplementing any deficiencies of collagen in tissues and organs according to their needs. The Amino Acids in this collagen fully cover the daily requirements for the components necessary for the regeneration of the connective tissue.

Currently, by using the process of Lyophilization or Freeze Drying in which water is removed from the product after it is frozen and placed under a vacuum received the purest form (98%) of Fish Collagen which is the world’s latest generation of diet supplement and protein nutrient in one which is called Natural Collagen “Colvita”.

No diet supplements possessing these properties existed yet. This is the first ones!

Colvita – dietary supplement and nutricosmetic in capsules is the complex of purest form of Fish Collagen received by process of Lyophilization, algae (Fucus Vesiculosus) and Vitamin E.

Lyophilized Collagen – the word is derived from Greek, and means "made solvent-loving" it is a water solution of collagen and relies as frozen hydrate, on the possibility of the highest density and the vacuum necessary to the sublimation of water. Further on, heat is provided in a precise and controlled manner, maintaining sublimation, while the water vapor produced, is removed by freezing. This is a difficult and very expensive process, carried out to a satisfying degree of quality and its final results are astonishing.
Collagen transfigured in this manner to dry is characterized by its excellent solubility and high hygroscopicity. Lyophilizate contains less than 2% water and almost 98% pure collagen! It is incredibly light, with a high caloric content, it may be stored for several dozen years without preservatives.

Algae (Fucus Vesiculosus) also called bladder wrack - is a very variable algae. It can grow to 100 cm (3 feet) or more and is easily recognised by the small gas filled vesicles which occur in pairs on either side of a central midrib running along the centre of the strap-like frond.
A common food in Japan also called “bread of sea”, it is used as an additive and flavoring in various food products in Europe.
Primary chemical constituents of this plant include mucilage, algin, mannitol, beta-carotene, zeaxanthin, iodine, bromine, potassium, volatile oils, many other minerals, and vitamins group B and C.
The main use of bladder wrack in herbal medicine is as a source of iodine, an essential nutrient for the thyroid gland. Bladder wrack has proved most useful in the treatment of underactive thyroid glands (hypothyroidism) and goitre. Through the regulation of thyroid function, there is an improvement in all the associated symptoms. Where obesity is associated with thyroid trouble, this herb may be very helpful in reducing the excess weight.
It has a reputation in helping the relief of rheumatism and rheumatoid arthritis, both used internally and as an external application upon inflamed joints.
Rates of estrogen-dependent cancers are among the highest in Western countries and lower in the East. These variations may be attributable to differences in dietary exposures such as higher seaweed consumption among Asian populations.
Fucus vesiculosus (bladder wrack), lower plasma cholesterol levels. Since cholesterol is a precursor to sex hormone biosynthesis, algae consumption may alter circulating sex hormone levels and menstrual cycling patterns. In particular, dietary algae may be beneficial to women with or at high risk for estrogen-dependent diseases.

Vitamin E (Alpha-tocopherol) - is a fat-soluble vitamin that exists in eight different forms. Each form has its own biological activity, which is the measure of potency or functional use in the body. Alpha-tocopherol (α-tocopherol) is the name of the most active form of vitamin E in humans. It is also a powerful biological antioxidant. Vitamin E in supplements is usually sold as alpha-tocopheryl acetate, a form of alpha-tocopherol that protects its ability to function as an antioxidant.
Antioxidants such as vitamin E act to protect cells against the effects of free radicals, which are potentially damaging by-products of energy metabolism. Free radicals can damage cells and may contribute to the development of cardiovascular disease and cancer. Vitamin E has also been shown to play a role in immune function, in DNA repair, and other metabolic processes. Vitamin E may be beneficial for people suffering from asthma and rheumatoid arthritis. It may be effective in protecting against air pollution and some other toxins and is believed to be a useful supplement for preventing some neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's disease. Vitamin E may also help protect skin from ultraviolet radiation and sunburns. In addition to its antioxidant activity, vitamin E is also believed to act via other mechanisms, including direct effects on blood cell regulation, connective tissue growth, inflammation and cell division.

Collagen is the most important protein, not only for humans, but for all the vertebrates. It makes up more than 30% of the protein mass in the human organism. It is the main component of the most important tissue in our lives – connective tissue. We are literally swimming in collagen.

Collagen is not given to us once for all. It is constantly undergoing change. It dies and is simultaneously created and constantly supported by chodrocytes, keratinoctes and fibroblasts – the cellular production and renovation works for collagen. How does it work? Well, in the teeth, eyes and hair there are biosynthetic processes underway which join at least 19 amino acids in a cyclical pro-collagen sequence. The peptide sequence chain forms a polypeptide chain which contains as many as 1000 amino acids. This “factory” releases cellular fibroblasts which once in extracellular space, join into spirals, usually laevorotatory superhelices.

The development of life on Earth is based on protein. It dies completely when its peptide chains break down.

Natural Collagen “Colvita” is the newest the most sophisticated and natural way of activating this factory to work for our body. Imagine that a tiny portion of lyophilizate, weighing very little, can provide a soldier, Himalayan climber or even an astronaut, sportspeople  (mostly in the muscle tissue building phase), hard working people, convalescents, people allergic to animal protein with a protein full value for many days. Imagine what it can do for your skin, hair, nails the whole body. Imagine what it can do for you!
