At the heart of the new technology is enhanced video processing and transmission hardware that can deliver high definition, multimedia presentations to displays located up to 1,000 feet from a computer console. With the Xpander software, any Windows XP or Vista PC or Server NT 4.0 or 2000 Server can manage the video wall or serve as an internet gateway through which the video wall may be managed remotely via the Internet over TCP/IP. Xpander offers a user friendly, intuitive user interface that requires virtually no training to operate. Additions or deletions of multimedia content can be made to video presentations on-the-fly with Xpander software. Last-minute announcements for an in-store sale or promotion may be made within minutes by simply inserting the advertiser’s pre-edited messaging into the continuous loop.
Xpander is a complete hardware and software solution for managing multimedia displays on large or small video walls in retail stores, shopping malls, theaters, airports, schools and other high-traffic locations. Any file that can be played on a Windows PC can be displayed with Xpander including AVI, Flash, Quicktime, Windows Media Files, MPG, MPEG2, DivX, HiDef, BMP, JPG, GIF, PPT, iPod music & video files, Live Streaming Internet Content over HTML, and more.
The entire video wall can display one large presentation or each screen in a video wall can contain its own messaging or the presentations may expand, contract or move to any location or size on the video wall which may also contain live RSS feeds from the Internet, during a continuous-loop presentation. The versatility and reliability of Xpander software has been tested and proven in airports from JFK in New York to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia and retail establishments from Las Vegas to Beijing.
