Similar to the popular Citrix “thin client” networking application, Applica is a low-cost, easy to install alternative for small businesses, schools and homes.
With Applica U2 Zero Client, the user installs the multi-user software on a Windows XP or Vista computer and either installs the Applica multi-function circuit board or an off-the-shelf video card to allow a second user to simultaneously and independently share the computer including its software and data files on a fully functional workstation with a monitor, keyboard and mouse.
With Applica Server, the user uses a standard switch, router or hub, connected to the “Host PC” to connect multiple thin clients to the network. The Host PC can be a Windows 95, 98, ME or XP PC or a NT Server 4.0 or Windows 2000 Server. Applica supports all standard thin clients including Devon IT, Hewlett Packard, Neoware, Sun Microsystems and Wyse models, among others. Applica’
