EDF chooses Supplier Scan to provide sourcing services

French-based energy supplier EDF has awarded a new supplier sourcing contract to the partnership of Supplier Scan and global supply management company Achilles.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 16, 2007 -
The partnership will help source and pre-qualify new suppliers globally for EDF in France, calling upon its extensive existing supplier databases.

Supplier Scan has a long-established pedigree and knowledge in supplier sourcing services.  This, partnered with Achilles’ existing customer contact, makes it ideally placed to work with EDF, a leading player in the European energy industry.

“This is the first major utility customer win for our partnership, and represents an important step towards expanding our services across Europe,” says Supplier Scan owner, Allan Skyner.

“EDF is a very strong player in the energy market not only in France, but also across Europe, and in particular, the UK, Italy and Germany. We welcome the opportunity of working with such an established utility to help it meet its procurement needs and are looking forward to demonstrating our capabilities.” added Achilles’ Central Europe Director, Per Karschowski.
