‘Decopaw’ art has been described as “…a mutt-like mix of styles, as if the wino who painted the velvet classic ‘Dogs Playing Poker’ met the designer of the Urban Outfitters catalog at an off-leash park, then gave birth to a litter of Warhol-inspired creations nine months later.” -Cole Cosgrove, Tacoma News Tribune
‘Decopaw’ art are graphically enhanced photographs of dogs and cats; custom designed for each client by artist and photographer Jamie Pflughoeft. The art is printed as giclees on fine art paper or gallery-grade stretched canvas. The Giclee art prints look like an original painting and are available in sizes ranging from 8x10 to 32x44; priced from $85 to $750, depending on the size, media, and complexity of design.
Since beginning to offer art in the spring of 2004, Pflughoeft has commissioned custom pieces for over 250 clients in the greater-Seattle area, and now offers custom art to clients nationwide. Pflughoeft has received much acclaim from both clients and press: “Dogs and cats frolic against natural backgrounds and seasonal displays of trees, snow, flowers and butterflies or stripes and solid backgrounds…
Each commissioned piece is one of a kind. Pflughoeft does not use pre-created templates; instead she creates multiple unique proofs of each pet, designed according to the client’s color and design tastes. Pflughoeft houses the proofs in the client’s own private online gallery to make viewing both quick and easy.

Pflughoeft is able to make changes to any of the initial proofs after they are created, often going back and forth with the client via e-mail until the perfect piece is achieved. Thus, ordering Decopaw art is a personalized and interactive experience. The end result is a truly customized piece of artwork that reflects a combination of Pflughoeft’s artistic touch, the client’s style, and the pet’s unique personality.
At the end of the process each client also has the option to have Pflughoeft create an online store of custom gift products such as greeting cards and mousepads from their favorite Decopaw art proof. The stores remain online indefinitely and clients can purchase products any time they like. Sample store: http://www.cafepress.com/
