FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) – Commenting on Ryanair's written submission to Aer Lingus requesting that an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) be called, Minister of State and Clare T.D., Mr. Tony Killeen said, "The holding of the EGM allows all Aer Lingus shareholders to voice their concerns over the potential loss of services between Shannon Airport and London Heathrow."

Minister Killeen explained, "The holding of this EGM forces Aer Lingus to fully explain the reasons behind their recent announcement regarding the ceasing of 4 daily flights between Shannon and Heathrow."

"I would call on Aer Lingus CEO Dermot Mannion to use the meeting to inform shareholders of the Aer Lingus's intention to continue operating services from Shannon to London Heathrow", concluded the Minister.
