Premier Research (Berkshire, UK) has appointed Chris Nowell as vice-president, clinical trial management for its international division. Mr Nowell will be responsible for strategic leadership, development of standards, systems, processes, and training for the both clinical project management and clinical monitoring functions.
He was previously director of project management at Quintiles, having started his career at pharmaceutical companies ICI (now Astra Zeneca) and Bayer UK. Mr Nowell joined Bayer as a clinical research associate, subsequently assuming clinical trial management and then international project management responsibility for a number of development products. He also held several posts in business development and brand communications, with responsibility for product launch strategy, preparation, and communications for a number of late-phase development products.
