Both titles also received honors in the 2007 Hollywood Book Festival. Weeks was born on the rough side of West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has seen a lot on the streets, which is what brought about this debut novel about the American people. His novels are a true depiction of the street life, and readers will be taken aback [G1]by their old school wisdom. Weeks includes a parental advisory page to ensure that parents are made aware of his novel’s explicit content.. He was recently told by a journalist that he is the first Urban Fiction author to issue a parental advisory statement. Meanwhile, L W Berrie was educated in California, but he hails from Davenport, Iowa.. After graduating from California State University of Los Angeles with a B.S. in Mathematics and Science, he worked for 23 years in the aerospace industry. He went back to school in the Legal Assistance Program of the University of California at Irvine (UCI) and graduated with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. He took additional writing courses at UCI to improve his skill as a writer. The UC library system and the Special Forces at Fort Bragg, N.C. provided the research materials for his story.
