Conshohocken, PA, 8/9/2007 – FastTrak® 2.0, GRSI’s redesigned proprietary warehouse control (WCS) and order management system (OMS) software suite, automates, integrates, coordinates, and controls all warehouse activities.
FastTrak® 2.0 WCS utilizes Windows networking and operating systems with the latest Microsoft.NET capabilities. It connects material handling equipment and subsystems to the client host system using a powerful single-port interface. The interface communicates and connects to any legacy host system, warehouse management system (WMS), and modern enterprise software system (ERP). Its highly modular and configurable interface also enables it to communicate to all material handling equipment produced by any manufacturer. Clients can coordinate and control a broad range of warehouse conveyor and equipment systems such as packing, weighing, routing, labeling, manifesting, sorting, and shipping.
FastTrak® 2.0 WMS and OMS connects to ERP, WMS, legacy distribution, warehouse systems, RF picking, light picking, and voice picking plans. It integrates warehouse material handling systems, sorters, picking, packing, and automated packaging equipment to enhance warehouse functionality. Orders are also grouped in batch and wave for enhanced efficiency and functionality. Consequently, it decreases fulfillment cycle time and labor costs by using pick to light, RF, voice, carousel, sorter, and packing optimization applications. From start to finish, the entire ordering process is monitored, controlled, and maintained by FastTrak® 2.0. The software streamlines the ordering process, accelerates order turnaround, and increases order accuracy with lower labor costs.
FastTrak® 2.0 software suite features dynamic and statistical diagnostic troubleshooting and maintenance tools. Its newly designed core module handles all host information and warehouse activities. It is extremely fast and can process over 3,000 warehouse transactions per minute. This underlying module also drives and transfers appropriate data to each of its user-friendly utilities. The software suite can be installed on a range of diverse host system platforms including Windows, Unix, IBM AS/400, IBM RISC, HP 3000, and Legacy. It has also integrated to over 70 WMS and ERP systems such as SAP, Manhattan, HighJump, JD Edwards, Infor, LogiCore, EXE, Oracle, RedPrairie, Radio Beacon, Catalyst, Legacy, PeopleSoft, Provia, and Home-grown.
FastTrak® 2.0 incorporates browser-based viewing that allows clients to remotely monitor their warehouse system’s status and view accompanying performance reports using any device with an enterprise network connection. Clients are able to visualize, supervise, and control packaging, conveyor routing, print/apply systems, shipping sortation, and all other warehouse activities. In addition, clients can track and trace all orders and packages throughout the warehouse using standard barcodes and RFID. The software’s reporting tool displays real-time equipment and personnel performance in the warehouse. It also features audit trails, graphical representations, filters, and facilitates data sorting.
