PRLog -- In the recent Robocup 2007 in Atlanta, there were many robots using the Transwheel that is manufactured by Kornylak Corporation. The Transwheel has been of interest to robot designers for its design. The Transwheel has small rollers to allow the wheels to move freely on any direction. They move along the primary diameter, just as any other wheel. Though, the smaller rollers along the outside of this diameter allow free rotation along a perpendicular direction to the powered rotation.
"I am very pleased to see our product being used in the development of this technology."
said Tom Kornylak, president. "We do as much as we can to help designers, students, universities, and hobbyists get the Transwheels for a reasonable cost." Kornylak Corporation, based on student feedback, made modifications to its existing Transwheel by adding coated rubber rollers. This coating made the wheel have much more traction as compared to the Transwheels designed for conveyor use. "We listened to the requests of our customers buying the Transwheels and Omniwheels for robots, and created a much better product for both of us. Continued strong interest indicates we are succeeding."
