On Saturday, August 11th from 10am-5pm over 50 Sellwood businesses will open their doors offering great summer sales and the opportunity play the “Passport to Sellwood” game with winners receiving gift certificates and one lucky person awarded a grand prize donated from local restaurants & wine merchants.
Sellwood business owners wanted to hold more than just a normal summer sale this year. They wanted to come up with an idea that would encourage the exploration of all the different retail stores, restaurants and services the community of Sellwood has to offer.
“Passport to Sellwood” functions as a venue to move people around the neighborhood. Each person receives a ‘passport’
PARTICIPATING BUSINESSES: Initially coordinated by a few volunteer businesses with an idea: Tilde, Spielwerk, Looking Glass Bookstore, GR Scrub and Nature in the City many other businesses quickly joined in, some of whom include: Greenloop, Vino, Dirty Dog Dogwash, Farmhouse Antiques, Sofa by Design, Sweetpeas, American at Heart, Muddy Rudder, Raven Antiques, Grand Central Bakery, Portofino’s Restaurant, Eleni’s Restaurant, Khan’s Oriental Décor, Chrisman Framing, Mekong Vietnamese Grill, Sellwood Dog Supply and Abundant Yarn & Dyework.
