Indiana Business College Building Campus on C.R. 17

PRLog (Press Release) – Aug 03, 2007 – Elkhart, IN- Gateway Builders and Properties president, Dan Brekke, is happy to announce that Indiana Business College is building a 9,680 square foot campus at C.R. 17 and C.R. 14. The new facility will be able to accommodate 350 students and school officials are hoping that the new campus will be open for classes this fall. IBC officials say they cost of the new campus is going to cost more than one million dollars.

Gateway President, Dan Brekke, says he is thrilled that his company gets to help make Michiana a stronger community, “We are just excited that IBC has asked us to help build their newest addition, this is going to bring more people to the area.”

“Lately there has been some discussion about what Americans have to do to fix the income gap crisis that is plaguing our nation and some believe the way to fill in the gap is education. It seems to me that Elkhart is trying to make sure that the gap is filled in the area,” stated Brekke.

Indiana Business College offers 2-year Associate Degrees to 4-year Bachelor Degrees, the Elkhart campus will offer Associate Degrees in the medical and business fields. There are 4,500 students attending IBC either online or at one of their many statewide campuses. Although classes don’t start for another couple of weeks, students will be able to register for classes through a temporary office located in the Elkhart area. The new facility will house computer and medical labs as well as traditional classrooms.

Not only will the new campus offer educational opportunities it will also offer employment opportunities for residents of the Elkhart area, school officials say they are looking to hire within the community for educational and administrative positions. “Building IBC in Elkhart is allowing us the opportunity to give back to a community that has given Gateway so much; we are privileged and honored to be helping such a great organization such as IBC,” stated Brekke.
