Spirit of India, is targeted to all Indians who would like to celebrate this historic milestone by owning an item of historical interest. The Spirit of India campaign, a unique showcase of exciting memorabilia and items of historical interest alongside a range of things truly Indian, starts today and will continue until August 16, 2007.

A host of sellers have listed historic items on eBay. Mr. B G Tonde, one of the eBay sellers, has philatelic experience of around 30 years and has listed ancient coins and documents. Mr. Tonde said, “I am delighted that eBay has created this section. As I am an avid collector of rare Indian coins and documents, I will be listing these precious pieces on sale on eBay for all those who share my passion. I do hope Indians come enthusiastically forward to grab a slice of history.”
