Design-r-mouse Llc Announces New Sports-themed Computer Mice

PRLog (Press Release) – Aug 02, 2007 – Randolph, New Jersey – The founders of a NJ manufacturing company have successfully combined an essential computer peripheral with a love of sports: optical mice patterned after basketballs, baseballs, soccer balls and other sports balls.

Design-R-Mouse LLC – whose slogan is “Relive the Game with Every Click” – currently offers the basketball-shaped mouse on its own website, www.design-r-mouse.com, and on other sites such as www.sportskids.com.  Baseball- and soccer ball-themed mice will be available in September, followed by golf- and tennis-ball mice later in the year.

“These optical mice are not just for kids, but for any sports fan who wants to personalize their computer with something that reminds them of their favorite sport or team, because the mice have the look and feel of a sports ball,” said Charles Goldberg, one of the company’s founders.  “Plus, they’re great for office use because it’s a working mouse – not just sports memorabilia.”

All of Design-R-Mouse’s optical mice use a USB 2.0 connection and are compatible with either a PC or Mac.  

Design-R-Mouse LLC is also in licensing talks with several colleges and sports associations.  The optical mice have already been approved by colleges such as Wake Forest University, Navy, University of Nevada – Las Vegas (UNLV) and North Carolina State University.
