“The Quiz Bowl is one of our students’ favorite activities and we’re excited to share it with students and their families all across the state, whether they learn in public schools, private schools or right at home,” said Melissa Nelson, MTSMCA principal. “The Summer Quiz Bowl is a great way for kids to stay sharp over the summer and gives parents a way to spend time with and engage their children with fun, educational discussion.”
The Summer Quiz Bowl Challenge includes a handful of the questions developed for the 2007 Connections Academy Quiz Bowl – a popular activity designed to educate, entertain and recognize Connections Academy students during the school year. Since the original Quiz Bowl started in 2006, Connections Academy, which provides virtual public schools in 10 other states besides Minnesota, has recognized 15 Quiz Bowl champions, including Joe Heinz, an honor roll student from Minnesota.

Created for students in grades K-11, the Summer Quiz Bowl Challenge has proven to be entertaining for all ages. “Connections Academy introduced the Quiz as a way to help parents interact with their kids this summer,” said Allison Bazin, Connections Academy marketing and public relations specialist. “I decided to break out the Quiz on a recent family vacation, and it was a huge hit – for both kids and adults.
