Connections Academy Creates Summer Quiz Bowl Challege

The Quiz is summertime fun for family and friends

PRLog (Press Release)Jul 23, 2007 – MTS Minnesota Connections Academy (MTSMCA) invites parents and children across Minnesota to turn off their iPods and Game Boys and take part in the Connections Academy Summer Quiz Bowl Challenge.  Featuring a variety of questions from all K-11 subjects – from science to history to the arts – the Quiz has been developed to stimulate and entertain students during the summer.  A convenient activity for traveling, relaxing poolside or at camp, the Quiz offers a great way to have fun and connect with friends and family while brushing up on a few fun facts before school starts.  Download the Summer Quiz Bowl Challenge at www.connectionsacademy.com/quiz.

“The Quiz Bowl is one of our students’ favorite activities and we’re excited to share it with students and their families all across the state, whether they learn in public schools, private schools or right at home,” said Melissa Nelson, MTSMCA principal. “The Summer Quiz Bowl is a great way for kids to stay sharp over the summer and gives parents a way to spend time with and engage their children with fun, educational discussion.”
   
The Summer Quiz Bowl Challenge includes a handful of the questions developed for the 2007 Connections Academy Quiz Bowl – a popular activity designed to educate, entertain and recognize Connections Academy students during the school year. Since the original Quiz Bowl started in 2006, Connections Academy, which provides virtual public schools in 10 other states besides Minnesota, has recognized 15 Quiz Bowl champions, including Joe Heinz, an honor roll student from Minnesota.
