Initial partnerships were established with City of New Haven Mayor John DeStefano, Jr., New Haven Police Department Chief Francisco Ortiz, Jr., Yale University Office of New Haven and State Affairs, Yale New Haven Hospital, TYCO Printing, Jawalla Scouts, Empower New Haven, Balance Fitness Studio for Women, Nation Drill Team, BOLDMINDS Cultural Art Accents, Local 530, and National Association Black Law Enforcement Officers.

CTRIBAT is most noted for its success in reducing gun violence among urban youth.The CTRIBAT 2006 Summer Leadership Retreat “Front Line” targeted the population of at-risk male youth ages 8 to 17 years old and created the conditions that led to the 400% reduction of firearm-related incidents in the urban sector of New Haven, Connecticut, known as Dixwell Avenue, a historic African-American community adjacent to Yale University.
