July 18, 2007 - PRLog -- NEW YORK (July 17, 2007) — Twenty-two exceptional iUniverse titles received the coveted Publisher’s Choice designation during the month of June. Publisher’s Choice titles written by American authors are displayed in the author’s local Barnes & Noble bookstore for a minimum of eight weeks. Titles written by Canadian authors are displayed in the author’s local Chapters Indigo store for the same amount of time.

To become eligible for Publisher’s Choice, authors must first publish their books through the iUniverse Premier Pro Publishing Package. From there, titles that receive the Editor's Choice designation for editorial quality and meet key cover design standards receive the prestigious Publisher’s Choice designation.

Publisher’s Choice gives authors the chance to discover if they have what it takes to succeed in the publishing marketplace by providing the support needed to develop a customized, professional marketing plan. This support includes marketing tips and ideas, a sample marketing plan, a title information sheet template, and the opportunity to communicate one-on-one with an iUniverse marketing associate. After authors develop their marketing plans and title information sheets, iUniverse submits these documents to a national buyer at Barnes & Noble or Chapters Indigo. This buyer then determines where the books will be stocked and the number of books to purchase for the eight-week stocking period.
