Crown Golf, Europe’s largest golf course operator with 32 venues, has enhanced its reputation for innovation and customer service by signing an agreement with Elumina Ltd which will see the latest golf-car mounted GPS systems installed across its 32-venue, 500-strong fleet.
The ‘sat nav for golfers’ GPS unit consists of a 10.4 inch screen facing the golfer within the cart which displays a full-colour hole-by-hole guide, giving golfers live yardages from their ball to the flag or key hazards. Future interactive features will further enhance the playing experience, including the facility to order food and drink direct from the cart, to be collected at ‘the turn’ or via a convenience cart. And because the screen refreshes up to five times per hole, multiple advertising opportunities can be linked with club promotional activity or corporate partner messages.

St Mellion, The Bristol and The Vale already have the system fitted into their carts, with the other 29 Crown Golf clubs soon to follow.
