Janet Beckers, Director of Australian Internet company Niche Partners, is on a mission. A mission to find the most successful women on the internet and learn their secrets. And she’s found them!
Not only has she convinced these internet millionaires to share their stories and teach other women the secrets to their success – she has convinced them to share their secrets live and for free. It all starts with the launch of Wonderful Web Women on July 30th.
“Women have so few role models when it comes to making money on the internet” says Janet Beckers, founder of Wonderful Web Women. “Most of the people who promote themselves as internet marketing “gurus” are men so it is nearly impossible to find someone women can learn from who they can really relate to”.
It was the search for a mentor that gave Janet Beckers the idea to start Wonderful Web Women. Janet had been running an internet business for a few years but not taking herself too seriously until she met fellow Australian Daryl Grant at a conference.
Daryl and Janet had a lot in common. They are about the same age, both mothers of young children and both happily married. The only difference was Daryl had become a millionaire using the internet. “I thought to myself well, we’re not that different, so if Daryl can do it, then so can I”.
Once Janet realized the power of a female role model she decided to share this opportunity with other women. Her hope is that members of the free web site Wonderful Web Women will be able to find at least one successful woman they can really relate to who can inspire them to create their own success.
When asked how she has been able to convince these internet millionaires to share their secrets for free, Janet said “I decided to go to the most successful women around the world and just ask. Every woman I approached has been so supportive. There just seems to be a genuine desire to help other women – much less ego than with the men!”
