Monroe, GA.…July 18, 2007–Paula Hill Brock, Ed.S., BS.Ed., M.Ed., an Educator for Walton County Board of Education, Carver Middle School has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Special Education. While inclusion in Cambridge Who’s Who Registry is an honor, only one member in each discipline is named the Cambridge Who’s Who Professional of the Year. The Cambridge Who’s Who selection committee hand picks these special Who’s Who honorees based on their accomplishments, academic achievement, leadership and service.
Brock, currently an educator of sixth through eighth grade students in general studies, has a combined total of 40 years of experience in education. She previously spent 18 years educating mildly mentally handicapped students, 19 years as a curriculum director, and two years as a consultant to middle school students. “Bringing art to autistic children is my greatest career achievement,”
Brock graduated from the University of Georgia as an Education Specialist in Administration and Supervision in 1981. She also earned her Master of Education and Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Georgia. Brock contributed to Benchmarks for Science Literacy, a companion report to Science for All Americans, which describes what constitutes adult scientific literacy and how students might progress toward that goal. She is a member of the National Science Project and The Professional Association of Georgia Educators.
