FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) – Have you ever felt that the usual online community sites (such as Myspace, Facebook and so on) often lack, well, entertainment? They may very well allow you to chat for hours and hours to friends you know, and people you don’t, but the whole “scene” starts to feel slightly repetitive after a while.
One site that dares to break the mould however, is the upcoming www.troodi.com. Rather than being orientated specifically around typing, as most other communities are, this website is focused primarily on amusing and relevant videos, similar in design to the classic Youtube.

The first impressions are very good; you are presented with a select handful of videos last viewed by the existing users, but you are not overcrowded with endless lists and thumbnails. Troodi follows a “tabbed” feel, which gives not only a feeling of professionalism and security about the site, but looks very attractive and is well suited to the application of sorting and organising the various sections present.
Also shown are many features you would expect to find on a standard portal: recent member profiles, links to other sites, a user login box, and a main menu.
But the important matter of the subject, why should this site be recommended?

Well the site looks amazing for starters, the colour scheme is very aesthetic and the overall design is clear and shows consideration for the needs of the average Internet user. As an unregistered user, you will be able to view videos with no content limits or restrictions, which is good for any paranoid visitors who fear the dreaded Internet. Clicking on the clearly defined “Register” tab on the main menu (at the top of the home page), the simple steps to becoming a fully-fledged Troodi member can begin. Unlike many other websites which require a first name, last name, email address, address, postcode and many other quite frankly, useless pieces of data about a user, Troodi requires only a desired username, a valid email address, your gender and country (for community purposes) and of course, a password.
Once filled in, pressing the sign up button sends a confirmation email to your email address, which when opened, instantly activates your account and gives you access to all of the features on the site.

Logging in presents you with an overview of your account. There are options provided to upload your own videos and share with thousands of other users, the ability to post bulletins to other users, read your messages inbox or send some messages out, to visit your picture gallery or to simple browse the many videos already on the site. As you can see, registering at the site unlocks a whole new side to Troodi, and is by far one of the most complex yet easy to use community sites around at the moment.
The site revolves around the idea of profiles; you as a registered member are effectively given a standard, empty profile, to which you can do (within reason) whatever you please. You can customise it immensely, this feature can be found from the portal shown when logged in. A personal picture of yourself can be uploaded quickly and set so that other users can see what you look like, your profile is basically a page on Troodi which you can customise using HTML code very easily, and like other popular community sides you can be added as a friend by other users, which will allow them to interact more with you.

So it looks great, it has a large range of interactive and entertaining features, it is simple and easy to use, and it truly allows you to personalise every aspect of your account imaginable.

Effectively this site is a crossbreed between the globally popular MySpace, and the old classic Youtube, and personally I would recommend it to anyone who is out to have fun, meet someone, or is simply bored of the current trends! Not only does it provide all of the features you would usually sign up to a community site for, but also it does so in a safe and secure manner, and most importantly for almost everyone…absolutely free!
