California State University, Dominguez Hills is still accepting applications for the fall 2007 semester, which begin August 25. The deadline to apply is August 1.
Linda Wise, acting director of admissions, said individuals who think they’ve missed their chance to enroll in the upcoming semester should not be discouraged.
“We evaluate them as quickly as possible,” she said, adding that last year, the application deadline was extended to August 15. “There is still plenty of time.”
However, interested students are encouraged to fill out an application and submit all necessary documents to the university as soon as possible.
To apply, prospective students need to login to http://www.csumentor.edu, the official admissions information guide for all campuses in the California State University system. There, they can get answers to questions about admission requirements, the application process and financial aid, and apply online. A payment of $70 (the $55 application processing fee plus a $15 late fee) is required to submit the application.
CSUDH offers 43 bachelor’s degrees and 23 master’s degrees, as well as multiple subject and single subject teaching credentials. In-state tuition ranges from $1,109 (0 to 6 units) to $1,691 (6.1+units) for undergraduate students and from $1,295 to $2,012 for graduate students. Non-resident tuition is an extra $339 per unit. An installment payment plan is available.
The extended deadline applies to first-time freshman and transfer students in any undergraduate major, and those seeking entrance into a credential program. Applications no longer are being accepted from unclassified post-baccalaureate student (i.e. undeclared graduate students) or international students. However, current unclassified post-baccalaureate students still may apply for specific master’s degree programs, except for the following: business administration (online only), occupational therapy, clinical psychology, and public administration.
