Hundred Houses goes digital

When the analogue TV system is switched off in 2010, Hundred Houses Society has made sure its tenants won't be left in the dark.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Jul 09, 2007 – The Society owns 154 flats and bungalows on a communal system and has upgraded all of the TV aerials to a full Integrated Reception System (IRS) so that tenants can receive the digital channels, including subscription and Freeview, digital radio, Sky and Sky Plus.

The work was completed by AVC Wireless Networks Limited of Stevenage. Tenants who have had the work done are very pleased with the service and the results.

Mrs Joan Pilmer, who celebrated her 90th birthday earlier this year, said "I can get several other stations if there is nothing I enjoy on the normal channels.  I particularly like the News 24 service."

Peter Nowak of the Society said, "As a landlord, we recognise that TV is very important to all of our tenants, especially older tenants and the investment will allow tenants to keep pace with the changes in technology for home entertainment, work and leisure".
