Jul 05, 2007 – “I was born ready to cook, it is truly my passion”. Joao (Gio) d’ Aquino has been named Executive Chef of long-standing Dirty Dan Harris Restaurant in Fairhaven. Gio is a graduate of the California Culinary Institute Academy in San Francisco. He comes highly qualified and has served as line cook for the Harbor House in San Diego and also as Food Production Manager for the Silicon Valley Marriot Hotels. Prior to joining the Dirty Dan’s Restaurant family Gio was Sous Chef at the Silver Reef Casino. Gio is also an experienced Marine Engineer.
“It’s a perfect match. Gio is well suited to coordinate, expedite and add creativity and passion to our kitchen. He is a leader and thrives in a smaller, family owned business such as ours…a family man himself, he has fit in well with our staff and we are very pleased to have him,” said Steve Papadakis, the owner. Dirty Dan Harris Restaurant serves custom aged steaks, prime rib and delicious Pacific seafood, in addition to a unique bar menu and creative daily specials. Dirty Dan’s also offers a happy hour from 5 to 630pm daily. The restaurant provides on and offsite catering for large and small parties.
