Jul 05, 2007 – Springdale, Arkansas
Phillip Zweig knew that people enjoyed word games. He also noticed that many people -- especially kids -- don't like waiting their turns or devoting an entire evening to playing word games. So he came up with a brand new word game that lets each player play on a separate board, all at the same time. The game, Wordigo, has won the Parents' Choice Gold Award and the Games Magazine 100 Best Games Award.
The game was a hit in schools and homes. Now Zweig has developed a software version of the game, which he will be demonstrating at the Educational Fair on July 18th at The Education Station in the Ozark Center Point Place in Springdale.
The Educational Fair has for the past decade been an opportunity for area teachers to see new classroom materials, network, and pick up some free goodies. This year they will also be able to play the new computer version of Wordigo.
Zweig plans a statewide tournament for Arkansas schools, with the sponsorship of the Tyson company.
