Words of Wisdom from British Artist

PR Log (Press Release) – Jul 03, 2007 – British artist Martin Askem has unveiled his latest work entitled 'Home Alone', this a strong depiction of a homeless person sleeping in a shop doorway. Askem described this work in a poetic fashion when I recently met him in London.




'He sleeps on the street, with nothing to eat.

People walk past as he stares at their feet.

He is a man with no place to call home, He is a man who sleeps alone.

Nobody cares, nobody thinks. They only take notice when he starts to stink.

It’s not right, it is truly wrong. If I were Lennon or McCartney I would write at song'-Martin Askem

This artist is certainly a refreshing addition to the British artworld.
