FGH Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of blow molds, and supplier of blow molding equipment in Denville, NJ has recently completed a 10,000 sq. ft. expansion. The acquisition of a high speed machining center equipped with a 50,000 rpm spindle, and an advanced CNC control, has allowed FGH Systems to produce blow molds with greater accuracy and with reduced lead time.
“We knew we had an accurate machine on our hands, but we were surprised by the speed of completion on some of our molds with the new machine”, according to Frank Hohmann, President of FGH. He anticipates that this new machine will be a significant value to their customers who always depend on FGH to produce blow molds for their operations in the shortest time possible.

“The busiest corner of our shop is now the place where the new machining center sits”, says Frank Hohmann. He believes that expansion of the plant, as well as an investment in new technology will carry his company forward into new business areas.

One recent application called for the production of a plastic part that was essentially a balloon for an emergency medical application. Another project was a spiral bottle mold that had a series of radii under 0.040 in. The high spindle speed of the new machining center saved days of machining time using tools as small as 1.5 mm.
