Del Webb Charleston: Offers a First Glance into the Community

Homesite Preview Day Will Give Potential Residents a Chance to View the Community

coming to Cane Bay Plantation this spring, will be hosting a Homesite Preview Day on
Saturday June 2nd and Sunday June 3rd Active adults around the Lowcountry and across the nation are gathering to view and rank their preferences of future home sites. The response to Del Webb’s arrival in the marketplace and to this event has been phenomenal with close to 900 attendees already signed-up.  

The sessions will take place on Saturday, June 2, at 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00
p.m.– 4:00 p.m., and on Sunday, June 3rd, at 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. –
4:00 p.m. at the Del Webb Charleston site off of Highway 176 in Summerville, S.C. Attendees will get a first glimpse of the future site as they travel the grounds in golf carts. Covered tents will be available throughout the site to offer shade and provide snacks and water.  Potential homeowners will have a chance to learn more about the details of Del Webb Charleston and the exceptional way of life that accompanies the community. During the Homesite Preview Day, attendees will also be able to meet the Lifestyle Director, Jennifer Burton, who will give an overview of the wide-array of activities that will be available for residents. Active adult communities historically have less strain on municipalities than their

The new Del Webb development will generate an estimated $22.6 million in tax revenue upon the completed sale of their 1,000 homes. In addition, an estimated $3.9 million in property tax revenue will be generated annually for Berkeley County.

The community will hold up to 1,000 homes on 360 acres within the master plan community of Cane Bay Plantation.
