Jun 27, 2007 – This month the non-profit Southeast Senior Center for Independent Living (SESCIL) embarks on its third year on the Internet. Over the past two years, its Web Site: http://www.sescil.org has become a respected and vibrant voice for senior-oriented news and views among seniors in Bergen County and beyond.
Key legislators from the New Jersey Senate and Assembly visited SESCIL's landmark building at 228 Grand Avenue in Englewood on May 30, 2007 for a discussion on various New Jersey programs and services available to seniors. Among the new services mentioned were the introduction to its members of the free "SENIORBLOG - The SESCIL Advantage" online plus RSS Feeds to various articles and press releases relating to issues that resonate with them and their peers around the County.
About SESCIL: It provides a broad range of therapeutic services and programs that maintains and restores the physical, emotional and social health of the elderly. Self-sufficiency and independent living is the goal to avoiding premature and indeed any institutionalization. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) social services agency for seniors, SESCIL recognizes the need of the elderly to be motivated to live a fulfilling and productive existence.
