June 21, 2007 - PRLog -- Bob Gibbs of the Salem Kripalu Yoga Studio in Salem, NH is celebrating his 10 year anniversary of teaching Kripalu yoga. Bob completed his 200 hour Kripalu Yoga teacher training course June 01, 1997. He completed all of his studies at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, Massachusetts. His teachers were Melanie Armstrong King and Ann Greene.

Since completing his training Bob has taught allover the Merrimac Valley. He started teaching at the Salem Athletic Club in Salem, NH. Bob has also taught at Gold’s Gym in Methuen, Baystate Fitness in Dracut, and Work Out World in Methuen. Corporate sites that Bob has taught at include Wyeth, P&G Gillette, and CGI in Andover, he continues to teach yoga at Holy Family Hospital and Medical Center in Methuen.  He has taught specialty classes for child at Little Sprouts Learning center in Methuen and senior’s yoga at Mary Immaculate assisted living center in Lawrence.

In April 1998, Bob became owner of the Salem Kripalu Yoga Studio, LLC at 401 Main St., Suite 206 Salem, NH.  The Salem Kripalu Yoga Studio, LLC is an independently owned and operated Kripalu affiliated studio.  Bob and his partner Cheryl Conway have grown the studio to over 100 active members. Classes include beginner to advanced Kripalu yoga and hot and vigorous Power Yoga. The studio also is wonderfully supported by Kripalu teachers Ilene Hallisey and Rhonda Woodward. The current teacher staff has over 25 years of teaching experience.

Mr. Gibbs credits the success of the studio to considering all members as friends and fellow seekers on our own paths. Also, always being there when classes are scheduled to be held gives students a sense of reliability. Giving students a variety of levels of class with many different class times allows students to vary their attendance with their availability.  Utmost to our success is knowledgeable, experienced and caring teachers.

All of the teachers at the studio believe in the Kripalu methodology and believe in Kripalus’ goal to develop a healthy and strong body, an open and caring heart, and a peaceful and clear mind. Practioners of Kripalu Yoga use a three stage approach that facilitates this process. The 3 stages of Kripalu Yoga are willful practice, holding the posture and meditation in motion.

Over the years the studio has had wonderful yoga workshops with nationally known teachers such as Ann Greene, Sudha Carolyn Lundeen and Kim Valeri as well as providing Yoga dance and prenatal classes. The studio is providing the community with a variety of yoga education and is looking forward to adding yoga teacher training and announcing other great workshops in the future.
