Think, in partnership with global real estate advisor DTZ, has announced the launch of a brand new online networking site called ‘i-Think’ (http://www.i-
i-Think is a reflection of today’s increasingly digital age and operates in much the same way as Facebook or MySpace. It is owned entirely by its users, who direct and inform content and will facilitate professional industry networking around the globe.
In fact anyone with an interest in sustainability, the environment, energy, architecture, and the planning of our towns, cities and transport is invited to join.
i-Think offers a shared platform for the entire built environment value chain, and offers them a place to express their views, engage with clients, colleagues and suppliers from both the private and public sector.
As well as being able to network, there is the opportunity to interact with major industry figures in the featured members section, take part in ‘webinars’
Cassandra Campbell, sustainability team leader at DTZ, comments: “I-think will provide the ideal forum for discussing ways of sharing information and best practice – not just for the property industry – but across every sector globally. DTZ is fast becoming a driver of sustainability in the property industry and if every sector contributed to the environmental and socio economic agenda then we really will make a difference.”
Corporate and product profiles can be created on i-Think where white papers, research and product profiles can be placed. The format of i-Think gives the user the chance to gather feedback and feed this directly through to company policy or product development.
i-Think is the first industry site of its kind and was launched at Think, which this year took place from 1-3 May. It places the issues debated during the event into an increasingly global context, with members being encouraged to share information and best practice across the board.
Users will also have access to the video gallery, which features addresses from some of the major keynote speakers present at Think this year. Highlights include the polar explorer Pen Hadow; Minister for Architecture, David Lammy; Justin King, Chief Executive of Sainsbury’s;
Joining i-Think is free, go to http://www.i-
