The Employers Skills Pledge is good news for UK business, according to The Assessment Network, the Investors In People Centre for the East of England. Speaking after the announcement, Simon Jones, Acting Chief Executive of Investors in People UK, said:
“The Skills Pledge represents a great way for employers to show their commitment to developing their staff. This is vital as part of a wider drive to ensure the UK workforce is properly skilled to meet the challenges of the new global economy.
“Investors in People has worked with employers for the last 15 years to help them drive productivity by putting people development at the core of their business. The Skills Pledge represents one way in which employers can grow their business by upskilling their people.
“We encourage all UK employers to look at how the Pledge can benefit their organisations as part of a broader business strategy that reaps the bottom line benefits of investing in people development.”
