Betting Update; US Presidential Election with the bookmakers making Hilary their 2/1 favourite

PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 18, 2007 – Whoever receives a majority of votes will be elected the 44th President of the United States, and whichever vice presidential candidate receives a majority of votes will be the 47th Vice President of the United States.

It is thought that the election will be one of the most costly in recent times. In 2007, Federal Election Commission Chairman Michael Toner stated that the current U.S. presidential race will be "the most expensive election in American history." They estimate that the 2008 race will be a "$1 billion election," and that if a candidate wants to be "taken seriously," they will need to raise at least $100 million by the end of 2007.
The current betting sees Hilary Clinton most people's favourite to land the role for the Democratic Party and become the first ever female US President. While for the Republican's New Yorker Rudolph Giuliani looks their best chance of success.
