FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) –
Dublin, IRELAND, 18th Jun 2007 - Specialist broadband provider, Centrecom has signed a contract with Deloitte in Ireland to facilitate home working by Deloitte employees. The deal marks the latest in a series of high profile corporate customers that have contracted Centrecom to manage broadband for their employees. The Deloitte contract is worth EUR250,000 and involves managing home broadband for over 100 Deloitte employees.
Centrecom’s Corporate HomeWorker is a managed broadband service specifically designed for companies who want their employees to be able to work from home. The service avails of over 30 different broadband networks across the country to provide a single broadband service for companies and employees. “The service saves companies time and money in managing broadband for employees who need to access centralised systems from home or on the road”, explained Christopher Plockelman, CEO of Centrecom. He continued, “Our HomeWorker Broadband product provides clients with a one-stop-shop for sourcing, installing, and supporting broadband across all available broadband networks. The service offers business-grade support for users and a single monthly invoice to the company for all employees with broadband. This means greatly reduced overheads in dealing with numerous different broadband providers in terms of account management, technical support and invoicing.” “Centrecom developed this unique product around the principle that only a single point of contact, ‘Managed Service Product’ can deliver the financial and logistical requirements for the corporate and the home worker”, added Mr. Plockelman Commenting on the Centrecom contract, John Gray, Head of IT and Operations at Deloitte said, “A number of our office-based employees work at least one day a week from home. Having Centrecom manage the entire broadband service will greatly simplify home-working for our people, as well as generating significant overhead savings for the firm.” Christopher Plockelman of Centrecom added, “We are delighted to have signed this agreement with Deloitte, and with home working in Ireland growing rapidly, we look forward to announcing further HomeWorker Broadband contracts with other Blue Chip multinationals in the very near future.” Centrecom, which is the only managed provider of broadband services for corporate homeworkers in Ireland, was established in 2005 to provide managed telecoms services to Irish companies in the corporate and property sectors. Centrecom is a wholly owned subsidiary of Independent Site Management (ISM), which builds and maintains wireless networks and provides telecoms services for commercial property developers and owners. Deloitte Ireland, meanwhile, consists of expert business advisers and serving senior business leaders who help clients succeed by anticipating tomorrow’s agenda with focused, insightful and fresh thinking borne out of our multidisciplinary strengths.
