National Lady Lawyers Month is an opportunity to honor the first women lawyers who blazed the trails for women to enter the legal profession; to celebrate today’s women who are advancing on many paths to success; and, to inspire the women who will pave the professional roads of tomorrow.
It has been more than 25 years since women entered the field of law in large numbers. Once the obvious social and political barriers were lifted, admissions of women into law schools grew exponentially;
National Lady Lawyers Month is an opportunity to celebrate the advancements of women in the law, as well as examine barriers that still exist today. During National Lady Lawyers Month, we invite female attorneys to come together to celebrate with other women our achievements thus far, and find ways of furthering women in the legal profession in the future. National Lady Lawyers month is also an opportunity for female attorneys to find balance in their lives, and to bring the special talents and gifts that women possess into the workplace.
During National Lady Lawyers Month, “lady lawyers” are encouraged not only to flex their intellect, but also to tap into their intuition and to share their insight in the workplace.
For information on how you can join together with a national community of women in law or participate in a virtual seminar about the mind, body and spirit of success, check out http://www.ladylawyerinside.com.
Diane Krause-Stetson and Kimberly Sobie, founders of National Lady Lawyers Month and formerly practicing attorneys, now support women attorneys with executive coaching and strategic career planning.
