FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun 15, 2007 -
Tribal signs Skills Pledge
Tribal among first organisations to pledge support for skills
Tribal Group, a leading UK provider of consulting and professional support services, demonstrated its support to the government’s skills initiative by signing the Skills Pledge on 14 June 2007.
Companies making the Skills Pledge commit to actively encourage and support their employees to gain the skills and qualifications that will support their future employability and meet the needs of the business.
Peter Martin, CEO, Tribal Group commented, “I am delighted to commit to the Skills Pledge on behalf of Tribal.  As one of the government’s key partners in the development and delivery of the Skills and Skills for Life Strategies, we see the pledge as a way of demonstrating first hand our commitment to transforming lives through learning.  By investing in developing the talent of every one of our 2000 employees and recognising the role they play in our success, we are helping to support a thriving economy in the future as well as helping our staff to realise their full potential.”
Alan Johnson, Secretary of State for Education and Skills, said, “Skills are vitally important for individuals, for their future employability and for the success of businesses throughout the UK. That is why I am so pleased to see so many companies making the Skills Pledge today. I hope others will follow their lead, helping the UK to meet the challenges set out in Lord Leitch’s Review of Skills.”
Tribal is a key supplier of support services to government and a leader in providing training and assessment systems to national employers such as McDonald’s to enable them to manage and deliver Level 2 skills to their employees.  The Skills Pledge follows Lord Leitch’s report into world class skills for the UK, presented in December 2006.  The initiative is one of Lord Leitch’s key recommendations, aimed at ensuring that the UK has the appropriate level of skills to ‘maximise economic prosperity, productivity and improve social justice’.
Peter Martin added, “We are delighted to be supporting all our employees in developing their skills and enabling them to work towards relevant, valuable qualifications to Level 2 (equivalent to five good GCSEs).  It is vital for our future success as a company and the personal success of our staff that they gain opportunities to develop and improve their skills.”
