PRLog (Press Release) –
Jun 14, 2007 – A growing controversy in Bellevue, WA...
There are some who would say Gotta Have Shoes is a great shoe store. There are others who would say that it is a front for a scammer who has stolen hundreds of thousands of dollars from innocent victims.
Evidence has surfaced that the owner of Gotta Have Shoes in Bellevue, WA has committed identity theft, credit card fraud and bank fraud in the past, utilizing their dual US, Philippine citizenship to move between the two countries in order to launder the stolen money.
One victim posted their ordeal to RipOffReport.com. Another posted a negative review on the Seattle.CitySearch.com web page that the Gotta Have Shoes owner paid for, detailing their ordeal. Twice.
CitySearch.com, however, removed the negative reviews both times in an attempt at protecting their paying advertisers, in the process endangering consumers and allowing the owner to continue scamming people.
This action on the part of CitySearch.com calls into question their ethics... can they be trusted to provide fair and balanced reviews, so the consuming public will know which stores to stay away from?
Apparently, that answer is a resounding 'no'... it would appear that CitySearch.com would rather protect their advertising dollars by quashing negative reviews.
