Washington, DC- June 13, 2007-Metropolitan professionals are young and alive. They tend to make middle-level incomes, and they love to socialize. However, at some point in their young adult life, the partying scene becomes dull, and they begin to look for a way to celebrate life, through more than a night on the town. This goes for hip-hop heads, young professionals, and avid non-profit professionals.
In January 2007, the Save America First Foundation distributed a simple 15-question survey to 1,000 metropolitan professionals living and working in Washington, DC, Los Angeles, CA, Atlanta, GA and New York, NY. The survey concluded that 85 % of metropolitans aged 25-39, would prefer to go to an event that offered a combination of a nightclub experience, and a charity event. Overall, these professionals summed up that they would prefer that their money for entertainment, go to helping people.
After this initial research was concluded, the Save America First Foundation solidified their original mission, and adapted a mission that reflected the research of young metropolitans. The foundation realized that an increasing number of professionals initially started their careers in large cities due to their corporate concentration, and thus, Save America First foundation, located their niche; and in the end gained a target market with a mission.
