Boquete, Panama Coverage of Paradise Gardens Refuge and Al Zarana restaurant

Paradise Gardens animal refuge is now open to the public on the Volcancito Road. Paradise Gardens works with ANAM the environmental agency of Panama to care for abused and injured animals. It attempts to either prepare them for reintroduction into nature or provide a safe secure home.

Currently they have a baby Howler Monkey, multiple Macaws, parrots, a Margay, other monkeys and more.

Paula and Jenny are providing tours to all visitors with special focus on local school groups allowing for education of local wild animals. This will hopefully teach children not to take animals out of the wild and try to make them into pets.

Al Zarana a new middle eastern restaurant has just opened in Boquete. A Pre-review can be found here. The food was very good, at this time service  weak but we are optimistic.
