The Auditor General of Malaysia, is the keynote speaker. Other prominent speakers and panellists include Audit Committee Members; Chief Internal Auditors; the President/CEO of Singapore’s Securities Investors Association;
Commenting on the Summit, Navin Pasricha, the convening Chairman from Columbus Circle Governance said, “This is the third year the Summit is being held in Kuala Lumpur. The format reflects the real world challenges to which participants want solutions and insight. For instance, the new areas of investor relations and CSR reporting have extended the responsibilities of all corporate governance practitioners. All our specialist presenters and panellists have interactive sessions with some 50% discussion with participants. They are practitioners with real life experiences to share.”
Pasricha went on to say that, “one area of change since last year is that we have combined the sessions for Chief Auditors and Independent Directors, whose summits were held separately in the past. This reflects the growing strength of the partnership between internal auditors and board audit committees; although there are separate tracks for technical sessions. Both parties have tremendously important roles in achieving high corporate governance standards for their organisation.”
