New York, NY – June 4, 2007 – On Thursday June 21, 2007, The Network Journal, the industry’s exclusive African American magazine known for reaching professionals, small business owners and upwardly mobile individuals with motivating articles and innovative business techniques, will host its
10th Annual 40 Under 40 Achievement Awards.
The awards ceremony will honor this generation of men and women who are making headlines in their fields. Among the 40 nominees will be Mr. Elvin Dowling, the Interim V.P. of the Conferences Department for the National Urban League. As well he is also the Special assistant to Mr. Marc Morial, former Mayor of New Orleans and current President of the National Urban League.
Just two short years ago, Elvin was listed among a notable group of men and women as one of Ebony Magazines, “30 Leaders of the Future.” Other impressive accolades of Mr. Dowling is the fact that he is an Ordained Minister, current candidate for the 33rd General Presidency of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., he volunteers, mentors, an active board member of the Harlem Success Academy Charter School in Harlem, NY and he is a devoted husband.
“It is an honor and a privilege to be recognized as one of the nations up and coming leaders. Taking place at the world famed Crowne Plaza Hotel, Times Square Manhattan, New York City, this milestone event themed, “Mastering the Art of Excellence,”
This high profiled event will be attended by hundreds of corporate, business, community and government leaders.
