Mackay Communications, Inc. Awarded Satcom II Contract

RALEIGH, N.C. – June 5, 2007 – Mackay Communications Inc. (MACKAY), a leading provider to the government of maritime and land-mobile communications satellite terminals, today announced the award of a five-year GSA SATCOM II Contract, GS00T07NSD0025, providing government customers the ability to conveniently purchase and deploy Mackay’s products.

MACKAY has long provided government customers with state-of-the-art satellite communications terminals and highly sophisticated marine electronics equipments.  “The addition of the SATCOM II Contract to Mackay’s portfolio further increases the value of MACKAY as an equipment and service provider to all levels of the federal government”, said Mackay Co-President Ben Pratt. “We look forward to providing our government customers a simpler, easier way to acquire our products and services.”

The new GSA SATCOM II Contract was awarded on May 2, 2007 and runs through May 1, 2012.
