Milan, Italy (PRWEB) June 5, 2007 – The European School of Economics (ESE) is proud to announce its Graduation Ceremony today June 5, 2007, at the Conservatory of Music of Milan. Nobel Prize Gary Becker of the University of Chicago will deliver a keynote speech to ESE students, Alumni and guests on Economy and Crime.
The 2007 European School of Economics Awards will be handed out to graduating students from all five ESE Centers of Lucca, Milan, Rome, London and New York by Professor Becker, who received the Nobel Prize in 1992 for having extended economic research to fields like sociology, demography and criminology, and for having demonstrated how economic factors influence the decision-making process even in areas previously considered by researchers to be dominated by habit and irrationality.
Nobel Prize Professor Gary Becker and European School of Economics Rector Stefano D’Anna will welcome press members for a press conference today June 5, at 12.00PM, in the conference room at the ESE Center in Milan, Corso di Porta Vittoria, 16.
After the press conference, press members and guest are invited to participate at the ESE Graduation Ceremony, beginning at 3.00PM in the Sala Puccini of the Conservatory of Music of Milan (Via Conservatorio, 12, Milan, Italy). The Award Ceremony will be followed in the afternoon by a reception and a brief presentation by the ESE Foundation.
European School of Economics announced this year the plan of expanding its presence in the United States, the launch of the ESE Foundation, and the opening of a first new Graduate School in Houston, Texas. The newly established ESE Foundation has partnered Gordon Bethune, ex-CEO of Continental Airlines and awarded management guru, who is currently lecturing in behalf of ESE across Europe and the United States.
Following the announcement of the opening of an ESE Business School in Houston, Texas, European School of Economics Awards were also recently extended to Houston Mayor Bill White, former US President George W. Bush, and pop star Beyoncè, who received from Gordon Bethune an ESE honorary degree in Music Industry Management.
Gordon Bethune and Gary Becker are some of the latest world’s greatest experts in a close relationship with the European School of Economics or the ESE Foundation. Among ESE’s Professors. Lecturers and Awarded celebrities are the names of Nobel Prizes and great economic and political experts such as John K. Galbraith, Dominick Salvatore, Nicholas Negroponte, Merton Miller, John Nash, Franco Modigliani, Henry Markovitz, Douglas North, James Heckman, Michael Spence, Michail Gorbachev, Joseph Rotblat and Betty Williams.
