June 4, 2007 - PRLog -- SYRACUSE, NY (May 29, 2007) --- The fuse Advisory Board today announced a call for technology
demonstrations to be exhibited at the fuse2007 business and technology conference scheduled to
occur October 9 – 10, 2007 at the Syracuse Oncenter. The demos will showcase some of the
region’s most significant and provocative technologies in the interest of stimulating business
growth.
Though all types of technologies will be considered, preference will be given to innovations
that parallel the focus of this year’s fuse2007 conference, including nanotechnology, life sciences
and healthcare, defense technologies, communications and Internet and green energy and
environmental technologies. A committee of senior fuse advisors will review all applications and
make decisions based on fit with the fuse mission and Upstate New York’s key technologies, the
broad impact and implications of the featured technology and availability of space in the fuse
program.
“This is an opportunity for companies, research groups, academic departments and other
organizations to really shine by demonstrating some of the great technologies to be found Upstate,”
said Errol Unikel, Executive Director of fuse2007.
"Upstate New York is beginning to see a perfect storm of opportunity for business and
technology growth. We have the technology, the people, the research and institutions, all kinds of
new businesses and spin-outs plus funding opportunities too,” said Steve Suhowatsky, member of
the fuse Advisory Board and partner in C3 Strategic, LLC, a firm that advises early-stage technology
companies throughout Upstate NY and the US on funding and management. “fuse will shine a light
on the kinds of inventions and discoveries that are going on all around us,” commented
Suhowatsky.
The technology demos will be conducted throughout the two-day fuse2007 event. The
demos will also be highlighted during media and dignitary tours.
To participate, a technology company, university, research institution or other New York
state organization can submit an application online at www.fuse2007.com/techdemos.htm. The
application process involves submitting a written proposal by August 15, 2007. For additional
