New York, New York, June 4, 2007 - The New York Sun is pleased to announce the hiring of Matt Goldenberg as its new Vice-President of Multi-Media. The newly created role is intended to spearhead the aggressive development of the Sun’s digital, video, and interactive abilities on its website, www.NYSun.com.

Mr. Goldenberg joins the Sun from Bloomberg News, where he spent the past thirteen
years in various marketing, development, and operations capacities. He most recently served as Managing Editor for Bloomberg.com, where he supervised its successful redesign.

“What excites and intrigues me most about the Sun is the caliber of the paper, how assertive and distinct its voice is, and the depth of the reporting”, says Goldenberg. “My immediate objective to better enhance the experience of visiting www.NYSun.com is by developing new interactive content channels for our audience. For example, our growing audio and video materials will soon be downloadable to portable devices. Our writers and columnists will create podcasts to expand on their news articles and opinions. We will also produce twice-updated daily downloadable podcasts highlighting that day’s important events. In essence, our goal is for NYSun.com to become the essential, interactive resource for accurate, up-to-the-minute information.”

Born in Frankfurt, Germany and raised an “Army brat” in various spots around the globe, he eventually settled in Westchester, NY with his wife and daughter. Goldenberg has also worked for Murdoch Magazines, Times Mirror, and K-III.
